Meadowvale, Mississauga

A local guide to Meadowvale in Mississauga — housing character, parks and recreation, and transportation access.

Published August 11, 2026

Meadowvale combines established residential areas with townhouses and apartments, community facilities, parkland and major transportation connections. Lake Aquitaine and the Meadowvale Community Centre/Library give the area a recognizable recreation hub, while Meadowvale GO provides a regional transit connection. Buyers should still compare individual pockets and property types rather than treating Meadowvale as one uniform product.

Note

This guide covers modern Meadowvale — it's distinct from the separate, historic Meadowvale Village Heritage Conservation District.

Housing character

The City's Meadowvale Neighbourhood Character Study assessed the area's townhouse, apartment and retail sections, generally covering the area between Winston Churchill Boulevard and the Meadowvale employment area, and between Britannia Road West and Tradewind Drive. The study sought a policy framework for future growth and compatible development in the area. Meadowvale Town Centre itself was excluded from that study, as it's already covered separately under the City's Reimagining the Mall initiative. In practical terms, this means Meadowvale includes a genuine mix of housing forms rather than one uniform type — worth comparing pocket by pocket.

Parks, recreation and community

Lake Aquitaine and its surrounding parkland are a recognizable local anchor. The Meadowvale Community Centre and Library, at 6655 Glen Erin Drive, overlooks the lake and nearby parkland, and serves as a community hub for the surrounding area.

Transportation and access

Meadowvale GO, at 6845 Millcreek Drive, provides a regional transit connection, with MiWay listed as the local transit connection at the station.

Buying in Meadowvale

If you're considering Meadowvale, it's worth comparing the specific pocket, property type and proximity to Lake Aquitaine or Meadowvale GO against your own priorities — the area covers real variety rather than one single housing product.

Selling in Meadowvale

Positioning a Meadowvale property well starts with understanding how it compares to similar homes in the immediate area, not the neighbourhood as a whole.
